Alex, a boy who lives with and cares for his eccentric grandmother Miriam whilst his father is largely absent, lives his life by responding to the roll of a die, which is how he decides to punch Alo. Liv, however, is intrigued by him and, having met and hit it off with Miriam, joins him in his die rolling activities.
